Automatic Cleaners
There are lots of automatic cleaners that are
out on the market today. We offer most major brands of cleaners,
however we tend to recommend staying with suction operated cleaners.
Some companies recommend "Pool Sweeps" these units run
off water return pressure to stir up leaves and debris and hopefully
catch it in a bag that the unit pulls behind itself.
We feel this is not as effective as the suction
operated cleaners that are connected into the skimmers suction power
to actually "Vacuum" up any debris on the pool floor.
The dirt and leaves are then pulled into the filter or basket. When
getting a cleaner we recommend getting one with brushes on the bottom.
This will make the unit multifunctional. While vacuuming up debris
it will also loosen algae off the pool floor. Although many pool
owners overlook it, brushing the pool regularly is the best preventative
measure in eliminating algae from the pool.

Drop In Steps
Any pool owner with a deck shouldn't be without
a set of stairs. Stop climbing in and out of the pool on that ladder
and get comfortable set of stairs. Many people are also quite please
with the esthetic value the stairs add to the pool. We offer both
rounded and straight wall stairs. While the rounded gives more area
on the bottom for seating and hanging out, the rectangular give
more support for those who need the extra help getting in and out
of the water. Steps truly are a great feature for younger children
who are not yet fully comfortable in the water and for seniors who
still want to benefit from the water but are nervous about the entry
system.
Pool heaters
In the last few years more and more manufacturers
of gas fired heaters have begun making heaters just for above ground
pools. These 100,000 BTU heaters are simple to install and have
the added benefit of an electric start ignition making the unit
safer and more reliable. The units are good for pools up to 15,000
gallons and are great for taking the cold edge out of the water.
Solar heating systems and covers are available as well.
Salt Generators
This is by far one of the most time saving products
a pool owner can purchase.
This electrically charged unit converts NaCl (Sodium
Chloride: Table Salt) into a chlorine gas, which is emitted directly
into the pool. This system, which until recently has been used only
on inground pools, will eliminate up to 90% of all chemical use.
Unlike passive ionization systems which require adding granular
or liquid chlorine to sanitize / oxidize the water, this system
takes care of these requirements without your help. The system only
requires that you maintain a salt level in the pool. The salt level
should only need adjustments if the water is diluted (Dilution is
caused by adding water to the pool because of winterization, splash
out, leaks or heavy precipitation)
The salt used is the same as for most household
water conditioners and usually costs less then $6 for 50 lbs. On
average someone may use up to 100 lbs per year.
The biggest advantage to the salt generator is
not even the lack of work, the best part is that you are not adding
solid chemicals to the water which give off reactions that cause
odor, bleaching, eye irritation and mostly affect water balance
properties.
Traditional Chlorine tablets in a feeder or basket
will cause the pH of the water to fall significantly, which is the
leading cause of eye irritation in swimming pools. The salt generator
is softer on your eyes, your liner, your hair, your swim suits,
the work needed for the pool and your wallet.
Lighting
Lighting is available in both spot light form,
where there would be one light in the pool and perimeter lighting
where there is actually a full light around the top seat of the
pool. This almost looks like a neon tube around the top edge inside
the water
